A vision of alternative roots rock brought the five band members together, and with a powerful live show they haven't looked back. Their music combines a gritty roots quality, reminiscent of British classic blues rock bands of the 70's, with strong melodies and elements of modern alternative rock. An original independent band hailing from Norwich LRK are firm favourites on the festival scene and suitable for venues and private parties too.

Leon has been writing, recording and performing as a musician for over 20 years. His songs range from upbeat pop-rock sing a longs to folk based traditional songwriting with delicate melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Leon has also built up a healthy repertoire of cover songs from a large variety of artists, he performs each with his own unique style and energy. In early 2018 Leon started his new project The Leon Daye Band to perform the recently recorded EP 'The Gift' and other originals suited to a fuller sound, the band are a five piece outfit and have an Alternative Rock and Pop/Rock sound.
Frankensteins Lobster have been playing for the last ten years at festivals, pubs, events, weddings, Christmas light switch ons, and as many unusual and weird venues as possible. Doing tiny gigs to a handful of people in an ancient burial mount, right up to 25,000 people whilst setting off Fireworks in Oxford.
They are notorious for staying on stage longer than they have been asked with their longest set being 5 hours and 45 minutes without repeating any songs. They always give an interesting and new sound to any cover song they play, and interact with the crowd so no two gigs are ever the same.
They have two types of gig, a full rock gig, and a more acoustic/folkier sounding set in which they are often joined by other musicians forming a supergroup from anything from 3 of them, up to their largest gig with 10 musicians playing as many weird and wonderful instruments as they could. Do not be fooled by the weird instruments these guys rock, it may look like a ukulele but it sounds like a rock guitar.
They also play fully electric sets. From a set up point of view they can arrive and plug into a house system and set up in a very short time, and if venues have noise limiters, they always use electric kits to allow full control of volumes.
When doing the acoustic set up we use Cahon, and no FX pedals giving a much folkier sound. Both versions use similar sets covering songs from 50’s rock and roll right through to brand new chart music
With 8 original albums under their belt they are accomplished songwriters, however they are well aware people want to hear songs they know so only perform cover songs at their gigs unless someone specifically asks for an album track.
